ISLAMABAD: Former federal minister and veteran politician Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has said that the government’s silence over banners related to Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on roads of different cities as dangerous.
Talking to reporters, he demanded that the administration should inform the masses about the facts that who was behind this (act). In current political situation, the next two or three months could be dangerous, he said, advising that every politician should better their position.
Responding to a question, he said that the banners and posters were a question mark on the ability of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He said that such events happened owing to the ‘weaknesses’ of the system. The banners were displayed in Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi and other cities, by a little-known “Move On Pakistan.”
The banners requested the army chief to reconsider his retirement plan due in November.
