ISLAMABAD: The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is organizing a high level panel discussion here on Wednesday titled “New Approaches to protracted refugee situations and equitable responsibility sharing”.
The panel will include the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi, Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) Lt Gen (R) Abdul Qadir Baloch. Eminent speakers from the government, UN and civil society will also attend the panel discussion. It will be an opportunity to renew international focus on the Afghan refugee situation, draw on lessons learned and reflect on new approaches to address protracted refugee situations.
