KARACHI: Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Control Mukesh Kumar has taken notice of a news on Friday regarding the sale of illicit liquor in the provincial capital.
He directed the department’s director general to take all possible measure to eradicate the problem and end the heinous practice, said an official statement on Friday.
The minister said that those who were found involved in the sale of illicit liquor must be brought to task and no one would be speared ‘no matter how much influential one might be’.
He further directed the staff to speed up the raids against the drug peddlers. The Excise Department’s officers were also told to raid every possible place where illicit liquor was being sold or manufactured.
