Shangla: An earthquake measuring 5-magnitude on Richter scale jolted Shangla and adjourning areas on Saturday. The earthquake persisted for around minute while its epicentre was 111 kilometres deep in the border area of Tajikistan and Afghanistan, said Pakistan Met Office. After the tremor, people left their house in a panic and camped in the open for hours fearing aftershocks or another earthquake. The National Disaster Management Authority said that no causality or damage to property was reported from any part of the earthquake-hit areas.
